Arts & Artisans

The creative spirit is alive and well in Naramata, with cottage industries blossoming in abundance. Visit our local renowned potters, the lavender farm, view designer lines of clothing with natural fabrics, see beautiful jewelry, metal and wood creations or explore upscale antiques, restored and found objects, sculptures and paintings and so much more. There are treasures in the village and on the benches of Naramata that are well worth prospecting for.  Follow the illustrated map (see MAP section) to find them.

Dennis Evans Art Studios

Painting, pottery, portraits, art cards, books of poetry, all produced on-site. Hours of operation, mid-May to September long weekend. 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, daily, October Wine Festival and, by appointment. Dennis Evans is a landscape painter and potter bringing fifty years experience to his creations. Dennis works full time in his Naramata studio to produce images which capture the spirit of the Naramata landscape which he portrays in the soft hues of the semi-arid enviroment of the Okanagan Valley. Recently, his images have been complemented by poetry written by his life partner, Patricia Evans, and her first book of poetry, Naramata Impressions and Other Memories was published in 2013. The book makes a delightful, easily transportable, memento for visitors to take home from Naramata. The work at the Studio has been conscientiously priced to appeal to a wide variety of budgets. Browsers are welcome.

Marianne Meyer Art Studio

Marianne Meyer was born and raised in Switzerland. Having started out with realistic paintings, she soon discovered that she preferred to express emotions and to experiment by using strong colour and abstract form. The basis for her pieces often emerges spontaneously through a variety of different textures which can range from individual sketches and drawings all the way to thick spatula layers. Marianne’s abstract paintings catch the viewer’s eye. To really understand her wonderful sense of humour & joy for life, one must view her colourful creations. By appointment only.

Preserved Light Photography

Canadian photographer Caillum Smith is an international award-winning visual artist from the South Okanagan Valley, BC, who specializes in adventure, landscape, tourism and commercial photography. The unique and intricate relationships that we all share on this planet are what compel Caillum to visually document the stories that connect us all. A photograph will never do justice to the moment it has preserved, but by simply being attentive and implementing various techniques learned over the years, Caillum strives to illustrate the experience of those present.

Sax Among Friends

Sax Among Friends is a group of talented and enthusiastic musicians led by saxophonist Don Wade. We provide the best of musical entertainment throughout the South Okanagan region playing the light jazz standards that everyone seems to know…music for chatting, humming, or dancing. Our flexibility offers options for our clients’ needs, preferences and budgets. Sax Among Friends has a wealth of experience entertaining many audiences.
